HI friends, when we started to cook something New firstly we should make sure  that it contains some benefits or nutritional value. Ofcourse yes the traditional Method of making any receipes or food may contain nutritional value but It is depending upon the method we prepare. Usually we make Rasam, Many will Intake after Veg or Non-veg food.  It works well on digestive system.  We might know many type of Rasam In which our mother and grandmother used to make.  But This coconut milk rasam familiar in Nagore, karaikaal and mostly south region.

Coconut milk considered as nutrious drink. It made by grating and grinding the fresh coconut.  It is a high calorie food. It has saturated fats and good sources of vitamins and minerals.

  Let we move to make COCONUT MILK RASAM.


PREP TIME: 10 MINUTES

COOKING TIME : 20 MINUTES

SERVING : 3 PERSON

INGREDIENTS:


     GRATED AND GRIND INTO THICK PASTE AND CONVERT IT AS MILK. TO MAKING COCONUT MILK SEE THE METHOD LAST PARAGRAPH.

     
   MAKING RASAM MIXTURE:


     Black Pepper -  one tbsp

     Jeera               - one tbsp

     Garlic 7 to 8 clove with skin

     Dried curry leaves – half a cup


                  Rasam mixture
                    



       Fry the above one by one in a pan and crushed with help of stone mortar and pestle AND KEEP Aside.


    Mustard seeds     - one spoon

    Urud dal                - ½ spoon

    Dried chilli            - 3 nos

   Curry leaves          -  little

   Tamarind extract   - one cup

   Coconut milk          - two cup

   Coriander leaves   - finely chopped

   Turmeric powder  -  ¼ spoon

   Pinch of asofodita

   Oil    - one spoon

   Salt to taste


          Rasam mixture, curry leaves, coriander leaves, and chopped tomatoes.
                  




LET WE MOVE TO THE KITCHEN TO MAKE THE PREPARATION 😊


METHOD:


1.      Take a Pan add oil then mustard seeds, urud dal, curry leaves and dry chillies into it.

2.      Now add chopped tomatoes and fry it till it become soft.

3.      Add the crushed mixture into it and saute well.

4.      Now add  turmeric powder, asofodita, salt.

5.      Now add tamarind extract into it.

6.      Add two cups of water to adjust the consistency and quantity get into boil.

7.      Now add coconut milk and give a good stir.

8.      Boil for two minutes in a simmer flame.

9.      Finally add coriander leaves.

10. Serve hot with rice.

METHOD OF MAKING COCONUT MILK:

 Take a cup of fresh grated coconut and grind into a paste add little by litle water while grinding
take mouth widened bowl and take a clean white mull cloth washed and dried. wet the cloth and clean with water again and squeeze it. pour the coconut mixture into the cloth and some water into it tightened it four sides and squeeze it. now you can see that milk is extracted from the cloth to bowl. now add little hot water into the cloth and squeeze it again remaining milk you get finally. this is the way to extract coconut milk from coconut.

TIPS:

1. You can give coconut milk to growing child as it contains all vitamins and minerals.
2. dont boil the coconut milk toomuch.
3. It cures ulcer.
